Connect-Auction is the first Japan-based design auction house, specializing in 20th century and contemporary furniture and designs. Launched in November 2007, we hold the sales of the world vintage collection ranging: US Modern- including Charles & Ray Eames and George Nelson; French Modern- Jean Prouve, Charlotte Perriand; Scandinavian Modern- Arne Jacobsen, Finn Juhl, Hans J. Wegner, and Alvar Aalto; Radical Items- Archizoom Associati, Superstudio; Postmodern- Memphis; and further collection from 80’s to present- Ron Arad, Marc Newson; and much more.

Meanwhile, maintaining the advantage of our home ground, we will regulary introduce the unique Japanese designs to the world. We focus on the vintage items of Sori Yanagi, Isamu Kenmochi, and other designers, elaborated with Tendo. Moreover, we feature the items produced by IDEE, of which founder is Teruo Kurosaki, a Japanese design entrepreneur who launched the career of Marc Newson. Furthermore, we continually highlight the items of Shiro Kurama, a pioneer who had worked in the realm of design/art.

It is our goal to provide the fair opportunity in the Japanese market, always having been involved in the environmental aspects together. Alongside the evolution of new category of design/ art, an auction house has become considered as a good alternative for which designers and manufacturers are committed to creating such limited items. Consequently, this phenomenal movement continually has stimulated the paradigm shift of the industries concerned, from mass production to limited production.

It is only the beginning toward our goal. We wish we could keep sharing with you the wonderful experiences at Connect-auction through our favorite collections.
